Home Inspections:  Home inspection has become a “must have” for homebuyers and valuable marketing tools for sellers. Buyers want to know that a home is safe, structurally and mechanically sound, and free of health risks. For the sellers, our home inspection will consist of a comprehensive visual inspection.

Mold:  Mold, or Fungi, can cause a variety of health effects and symptoms, including allergic reactions. Mold also will tend to destroy the things it grows on. Gen-Spec, LLC offers a variety of test services to identify the presence and offer possible health effects and remediation solutions.

Lead Paint Radon:  Radon is a radioactive gas that can cause cancer. It is odorless and tasteless and enters the home through the soil and rock below usually entering the home through the basement floor.  Radon is easily detected and can be minimized or eliminated using reduction systems that are not too costly.

Asbestos:  Asbestos is often off-white, but its appearance depends on the material it is often mixed with. Deteriorated asbestos containing materials can lead to well-documented health problems.  The good news is the asbestos is easily identified and safely removed.

Lead Paint:  The State of Maryland lead paint laws for residential rental property state all affected properties (built before 1950) must be inspected for lead paint hazards.  Leadspec, Inc offers a variety of services to provide our customers the required compliance with the appropriate Maryland laws as they pertain to lead paint safety.
